Shabby wooden box / Cutie de lemn cu un aer vechi

Hello, This is another birthday present made for someone special. She loves handmade too and creates wonderful decoupage pieces. Because we share the passion for crafting, I thought this box is the ideal present. For this box, I used some small rice paper flowers, acylic paints, and transfer paper  from Stamperia for the wording.

A baker's perfect vintage kitchen - birthday card / Bucataria vintage a unei cofetarii - felicitare

Hello, This card is part of a special present for a good colleague and I dare say fiend...:) who's passion is baking. So, this is her idea of the perfect vintage kitchen...I hope she will have it, and so, her dream will come true! Card size: A5

Vinatge travel diary / Jurmal de calatorie..

hello, Here's my latest creation...A friend asked me to do a travel themed card...but when I started working, I decided to make travel diary instead...:) It is about a journey to Paris...here's how it looks like:

African theme decoupage on wooden boards / Decoupage cu tema africana pe lemn

Hi, here's my latest project...again with an African theme. I started with two pieces of rice papers: an African girl wit a clay pot, and an African village at sunset. So I had two different ranges of colors. I used a stencil to create the background for the African girl wall art - the idea was to make the onlooker think that the girl is standing in front of a wall. The African village scene came out very antiquated due to the crackle varnish and the very small pebbles I used to make a frame for the image. Both pieces are done on  wooden shelf boards. The photos are not very good... but I hope you will get an idea about how they look like.

Shabby chic wooden box / Cutie din lemn in stil shabby chic

Shabby chic wooden box/ Cutie de lemn - shabby chic

Hello, Some time ago I bought from the internet a wooden box that I thought to be smaller than it actually is...From the pictures you might not see it, but it is huge..:) Initially, I wanted to decorate it using a paper napkin, but because of the dimensions I switched to rice paper. It is the first time I worked with rice paper for a greater scale project...and I can tell you...it is better than paper napkin. Rice paper, though very thin, is sturdier and has a better structure than paper napkins. The technique is a classic shabby chic and I used some transfer paper from Stamperia to add some text here and there. The top of the box: one of the sides: and from an angle:

Decoupage on wooden board - African theme / Tehnica servetelului pe lemn - tema africana

Hello, Lately it seems I'm coming back to the first technique that brought me to the handmade world...decoupage. Here's a wall art piece finished yesterday: I used a paper napkin with an African theme, some coordinating acrylic paints, and to make it look really old, crackle lacquer and some stamps. To seal everything, I applied two coats of matt varnish. The wooden base is actually a shelf board.

Decoupage on glass / Tehnica servetelului pe sticla

Hello, Last week I finally got around to making my first experiments with decoupage on glass. I decorated a plate and a glass fitted with a copper frame. For the plate I used a paper napkin with lemons: For the framed glass I used a paper napkin with vintage roses.  The decoupage technique is done in revers when working on glass, because we work on the back of the glass.

Wedding cake card / Felicitare cu tort de nunta

hello, Here's a new wedding card I made using the wedding cake die from Memory Box. This card was intended to hold the wedding present, so it has a small pocket inside. Without the pocket, the card could be a cute wedding invitation. Card size: 16x16 cm

Teabag folding birthday card / Felicitare cu floare in tehnica teabag folding

Hello, here's another vintage birthday card I made a few weeks ago, after I rediscovered teabag folding while preparing for a workshop (more about the workshop in a following post...:)  ) For the musical background I used some washi tape from Folia, and some lace from DacoArt. The butterflies come from a paper napkin. Card size: A5

Welcome baby girl card / Felicitare pentru o bebelusa :)

Hello, here's a new vintage baby girl card I made using one of my newest die cuts: a baby carriage: Who's to say that only storks bring babies...:)) I think butterflies can too...wouldn't you say? Card size 10x15 cm

Aristocats like card / Cu gandul la Aristocats

Hello, This card came to life from some leftover embellishments from previous projects and one of the pre-cut characters from Andrea Jayne's "Pampered pets" paper collection. . The burgundy heart and the frame are done with Sizzix die cuts. To create a very soft pastel background, chalks were the best choice (and of course this is a quick way to create custom backgrounds...). Card size:10x15 cm

Pansy vintage card and paper pralines / Panseluta si praline de hartie

Hi, Today's post is about a very special birthday gift I made for a very special lady :)....a card and a box with two miniature paper pralines. For the card, I used one of the newest floral die cut sets from Sizzix:  Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 12PK - Flower, Pansy/Violet Besides the pansy and the two violets, I made two small carnations from some leftover pralines paper cups. Here's the vintage shabby chic box with the pralines (the first I ever made...:)  ) To create the shabby chic look of the box, I used rice paper and acrylic paints. This project is one of my favorites...I loved making it! I hope you like it too! :)

Wedding cards / Felicitari - Invitatii nunta

Hello, I found a very cute wedding stamp from Stamperia. Here are two cards I made using it. They can be used as wedding invitations too.  Card size: 13x13 cm  Card size: 10x15 cm For the background I used a pale pink table napkin transferred on freezer paper. I made The 3D frame from the firs card using some nested dies from Sizzix, following a tutorial from youtube (unfortunatelly, I can not find it any more..I wanted so much to share it here).

Vintage cameo card / Felicitare cu camee

hello, For this card I used only scarps...paper and elements left from other projects. Card size:10x15 cm

Butteriflies, butterflies and more butterflies... / Fluturasi, fluturasi, o multime de fluturasi...:)

Hi, This weekend I played with the butterflies set from Sizzix: As you can see, the possibilities are endless. I have to say...I can't stop stamping these cute butterflies...

Elegant teabag folding flower card / Felicitare cu floare in tehnica "teabag folding"

hello this weekend, searching through the card making  elements I made some time ago and haven't had the chance to use them, I found some teabag folding flowers. I decided on using two of them. Here's the card I made with the first: For me this card has the feel of old memories brought to light from an old dusty box from grandma's attic...:) Well, maybe that's just me...what do you think? Card size: 13.5x13.5 cm

Inimioare vintage / Vintage hearts card

Hello, I know that Valentine's day is long passed, but I finally had an idea on how to use some little hearts I cut with some die cuts from Sizzix, just to see how they look like. The burgundy heart is made from Core'dinations cardstock . This type of cardstock is layered, so, when sanding it, the white layer from underneath comes out, creating a great effect especially on embossed elements.

Felicitare cupcake / Cupcake birthday card

hello, This new cupcake birthday card started with a very cute napkin I found one day at my favorite crafts shop...:) I used only the top layer of the napkin, which I transferred on freezer paper (maybe I will make a tutorial for this technique at some point) .  Most of the embellishments come from Daco Art ...the new lace they have is sooo prety...:) Card size: 14x14 cm

Masculine birthady card

hello, Here's a quick post with my latest card... This is my first flip-flop card, which I made for a gentleman's birthday. The template comes from Marie Shaughnessy's blog .
