hello all, Here are two new necklaces made from aquarelle paper...this technique is addictive...:)) New and unexpected ideas keep on coming... I made sliding knots, so the length of the string is adjustable.

Hello and Happy new year everyone! So we have just begun a new year...for me this meant a new technique to try :) This is a technique I learned watching  Ross Barbera's  videos on Youtube. The first step was to create my patterned  paper using acrylic paints. Here's one I made yesterday and now is ready to use: Then, I made may templates  from sturdier cardstock and cut a few pieces of plain aquarelle paper an one piece from the painted one. After gluing everything together and varnishing the pendant to make it waterproof, here are the finished necklaces:  With this technique... the sky is the limit...so there are more pieces to come in this collection...:) Enjoy! Hello, In weekend-ul trecut, la Muzeul Satului Banatean de la Padurea Verde din Timisoara, s-a desfasurat Festivalul Plai 2012  . Aproape in fiecare an am fost la Plai ca vizitatoare a diferitelor standuri ale asociatiilor culturale care participa la festival. Anul acesta, cu mare mare bucurie am participat ca voluntar impreuna cu Camarila Culturala . Tema noastra s-a numit "Simfonia melcilor" - un "omagiu" adus micului melc ce se misca atat de incet, dar are o casa atat de perfecta! (Poate urmarind micul melc invatam si noi sa reducem din cand in cand viteza cu care ne ducem vietile de zi cu zi...:)  ). Vizitatorii nostri au desenat si pictat pe pietre, am facut melci din hartie, cutiute de carton ornate cu melci desenati. Am avut si o mica expozitie cu poze cu fractali, desenele lui Razvan Gaita din seria "Melc urban", pietrele desenate ale Monicai Plesca, melcii mei quilling. Iata ce-a iesit! carti...

Hello, This has been a very creative week for me...:) Yesterday, I began learning a new quilling technique which I found in a book. As with every new thing we start learning, I've gone through a little bit of trial and error. Here's what came out from one of the trials...at first I thought it will be another error...:)) but in the end, when I  finished the structure,  I decided to keep it and make a card with it.

Hello all, This weekend I finally got around using some hand painted paper I  bought last year from Rome. It has a very interesting pattern, and a great mix of colors. I added some quilled circles in the tones of the painted paper. Here's how it looks like:

Hello everyone, This weekend was veeeery hot in Timisoara...so a pool with cool water would be very welcomed even by me...:)) (my friends know what I mean by "even by me") So, inspired by  Pritesh's  wonderful wall clock, I decided to use the same technique to make an asymmetrical, smaller structure which would be suitable for a card. Here are the two "cool water"  cards I made: Thees two are pretty abstract, so maybe they will make you think of something other then cool water...:) Tell me what you think!
